While my goal as an art teacher is to encourage students to discover and hone their own personal art style, I find it extremely valuable to study the work of other artists for inspiration. In these classes, students are taught how to analyze a work of art, and consider how that artist uses line, shapes, and colour in unique ways. Students also begin to consider the ways in which art is a form of self expression, and a creative response to the world in which an artist inhabits.
These projects were completed with artists aged 6-10, mostly during my virtual program with SkyBlue Studio.
